(April 7, 2019, 11:29 am)Being African American and growing up in the A.M.E. Church this was a very different experience from what I’m used to but I’m glad took the time to visit. The liturgy brought upon me a great spirit of reverence and contrition. The experience was more “authentic” than Protestant liturgy, if you will. It was ancient and unlike in the black church where there’s piano and guitars hyping up the preacher and the preacher yelling and screaming. The Orthodox liteurgy was simple yet divine. The Orthodox liturgy also was consistent of prayer and meditation rather than typical black church motivational speaking. The people were very welcoming and helped me get situated into the environment because it was my first time participating in an Orthodox liturgy. The Icons were beautifully painted and the use of TVs to help dictate the liturgy was a great help. I hope more African Americans will come to embrace Orthdoxy and grow closer to our Christian and African brother and sister in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.

(August 11, 2017, 8:18 am)This a place where Ethiopian Orthodox worshippers commemorate about the trinity of GOD especially on Sundays. The church is very organized. The People are so friendly and hospitable to anybody. The priests are anointed with the words of the holy bible.

(June 25, 2017, 10:50 am)They have strong Sunday School and are teaching young kids. They do prayers and services on sundays and other Ethiopian Othodox Tewahdo Church Holidays. The church is also serving as an umbrella and a venue for a very strong and active Ethiopian community. They do Gospel teaching based on the doctrine of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo.
