Super nice store owner, super convenient location.
A convencie that is actually convenient!
Honestly, this has been my favorite convenience store to hit up; walking distance from most places in East Downton, small but stocked with whatever late night or quick run goods you might need, and often not crowded so you can shop with appropriate distancing. I've often done a lunchtime walk over for snacks or a late evening walk for a soda; note you have to spend $10 for credit, otherwise it's cash.
During times of crisis like the coronavirus pandemic or the recent winter storm everyone was rushing Kroger, Whole foods, and HEB and panicking to get toilet paper, water, and hand sanitizer, half the time those big shops are emptied out. Meanwhile I walked to this bodega and bam; all in stock, I even bought Isopropyl alcohol and cleaning supplies for friends since the shops in Spring were empty. It saddens me that people don't look around in their neighborhoods and see these shops right in our backyards with what we need.
Love having Grocery One around and would recommend you shop there when you need to grab something quick.
