Joseph McGee: Allstate Insurance

They sent me a flyer via post, I engaged and got 'Nate' . He is working on my Home and Car. I don't expect much, but I am sure he will come back with a cheaper price or explain why I cannot get cheaper rates. These flyers must have some use to at least understand the market and engage new insurers?

Marcia "Markie" Avallone did an excellent job in assisting my family by helping us understand changes in our policy and billed amounts, as well as taking the next steps to make necessary amendments and going so far as to check in to make sure they took effect. Awesome customer service, glad to have her on Joe's team!

Generally very good until you have an accident... Biggest issue, I've found is some of the processes which the agency or company follows are not very customer friendly nor transparent.

Some good aspects:
. Good costs, friendly knowledgeable agents
. Very quick responses until there are questions which are difficult for the agency to respond; such as when an accident occurs. Then the response seems to get lost with no response nor status.

Some areas needing improvement:
. When a response is requested from Allstate which is out of the responsibility of the agency, the customer is on his own to get an answer from other groups at Allstate. No ownership nor little help is given from the agency.
. At times, I got conflicting answers from Allstate concerning questions on a accident which occurred. There was/is no process nor help to get a confirmation on what their actual response is. Note I believe this has been resolved with a lot of work.... Yet, I'm still waiting for a refund on my deductible after 6 months.

Service is great but the auto insurance premium is higher than competitors. Home owners insurance premium is competible.
