Best place to get your Korean noodle fix. Food is cooked in full view, staff work very fast and efficiently. The noodles dishes were tasty but the fried rice had a strange taste I couldn't make out. If I were to compare it to anything, it tasted like a hint of soap. At first I thought it was the bean sprout, but it's not because I have tasted the bean sprout on fried rice at another place. I still come back for the noodles but I don't order fried rice anymore.
The jajangmeon (sp?) is so delicious here. You order and they call your order number. Plenty of seating. The bf and I came on a Sunday a bit before 1pm and the place was packed but service is really quick. With ordering and eating, we were out in like 30 minutes. Their other dishes include a spicy seafood noodle dish, which I can't wait to try out. They also had fried dumplings. Can't wait to go back and try their other offerings.
Finally tried their sweet and sour pork which was crispy and delicious
Jjamppong - very large portion. The soup flavor is refreshing for my liking. It does not taste like some other places jjamppong which is heavy and salty. They are very generous as I see there are loads of ingredients in one bowl, pork, mussels, squid, cabbages etc. The noodles are perfectly cooked. This place has become my number 1 jjamppong place to go!
First had jjajangmyeon when I was studying abroad in South Korea... we always got it with tangsuyuk. I've always been kinda sad not being able to see tangsuyuk on menus that have jjajangmyeon. So I was super excited when I heard about Paik's noodle house!!! It meet all my expectations... I felt like I was back in S. Korea again! Well definitely go back again... and actually I've gone back again already! Looking forward to more meals here!
What I like about Paik’s noodles - simple, focused menu; freshly made noodles; efficient services, well-priced. Cafeteria setting, order at the cashier, pick up tray when your number came up on the announcement board. The JiaJiang Noodle is smooth, velvety and chewy. While the Jjampong and Sweet-and-Sour pork are popular items, my favorite and default go-to remains the top notch JiaJiang Mein. Tips: they do not open most week nights, so do check hours of operations before going.
