I have dealt with depression, generalized anxiety disorder and ptsd for most of my life due to an extremely traumatic childhood. I have tried too many medications to count, therapy, meditation. You name it, I’ve tried it. I was referred to Dr. Shah from one of my physicians. I was nervous to try ketamine infusions but Dr. Shah put me at ease and explained everything to me and helped me through each one. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. He has been very compassionate and caring and understanding of how I had been suffering. He told me this would be “life changing” and he was right. My anxiety has been dramatically reduced more and more since I began this journey and my depression has lifted. I am much more positive and for the first time in years I have hope! Dr Shah not only has the highest qualifications and competence for this treatment but he is also one of the most caring and compassionate human beings I’ve ever met. I’d like to preface by saying prior to seeing Dr Shah I had run the mill and been on Lexapro, Zoloft, & Vistaril but all that seemed to just mask my anxiety or numb me out to my emotions. On top of that self medicating when those didn’t seem to work with binging in alcohol. I was really on the fence initially about seeing Dr. Shah, thinking that this would just be another form of therapy that would just work momentarily but eventually pass. Well I’ve been seeing him for over a year now and I can happily say that my depression is on the back burner & my anxiety is at a tolerable level. If it ever feels elevated for over a week or so I know it’s time to schedule another infusion, Dr. Shah is always very easy to communicate with about getting in to see him.
